Acknowledgment of Country

In the Skies acknowledges the Gadubanud People of the Maar Nation as the Owners of this land, and endeavours to pay sincere respect to them and all regional First Nations communities, Custodians and Elders, past and present. We recognise that First Nations sovereignty over this continent has never been ceded and we believe that there is ultimately no meaning in the work we do unless it helps to reverse the impacts of colonisation - as in, our ultimate goal and responsibility living here and running ‘In the Skies’ on Gadubanud Country is to live and work in a way that helps to reverse dispossession - that supports First Nations sovereign rights and their return to and reclaiming/ rebuilding/ regeneration/ repairing of their land, country, culture, history etc here.
