About the Artist and Exhibition:

Phil Mullaly is a multidisciplinary contemporary artist who now lives and practices art in Ocean Grove, Victoria. His practice includes drawing, painting, ceramics, printmaking and sculpture. I LIKE BIRDS is his first solo exhibition in almost 30 years, following a period focused on teaching art studio practice and raising a family.

“The works in this exhibition find inspiration in popular culture, music, poetry, folk art, and natural history. The paintings in this show sit somewhere between still life and landscape genres and through anthropomorphism explore the relationships between humans and the natural world.” ~ Phil Mullaly
