About the Artist and Exhibition:

Kim Wiebenga is a multidisciplinary, mixed media artist with a Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) - Gold and Silversmithing from RMIT, and further qualifications in floristry and millinery. She has worked and exhibited extensively across these fields both nationally and internationally. To date Kim Wiebenga is best known for her acclaimed millinery: kimwiebenga.com.au Private Light is Kim Wiebenga’s debut solo exhibition of paintings. It reflects three decades of creative and technical discipline and speaks to the artist’s fundamental ability to appreciate and recognise visual patterns, cues and connections - the driving force behind her artistic practice and indeed the filter through which she sees the world. It is an honour for us to present this remarkable body of work to you.
